Investigator 911 & Wolf Group

Negative experience: Poorest experience in results and customer service. Total fraud of a company. Total waste of money. They also go by Wolf Group Company/Le Groupe Wolf (in Quebec), so beware. A nine-year old would have understood the assignment better. Very little communication during the investigation ( just pics, a few vids taken, no context, no information, no questions or answers to my questions about the status of the investigation. Got the result more than a month after the maximum time to give report, with no explanation or apology for the excessive delay. The one-page report gave absolutely NO NEW information. Only one database search was conducted, and it was was ON ANOTHER PERSON!!!! This mistake was never rectified. No log on the investigators was provided so how do I know an investigator did not just drive up take a picture from afar (again, often without the POI being in the shot) and then drive off? I voiced my concerns and my dissatisfaction multiple times, but nothing was done to provide the service I paid for by these supposed professionals. As the ultimate slap in the face, I was reassured that while "there are no guarantees regarding outcomes, however, we commit to providing the utmost diligence toward your case", the investigative report could not be used by my lawyer as it was flawed, incomplete and based on suppositions (the POI's salary was guessed based on his declared job, not anything based on actual investigation). Save your money and do your own investigating.

I contacted several investigation agencies, but honestly, even though they had a lot of positive reviews (which seem a bit too perfect to be true), they didn't really impress me. They all pretend that everything is possible just to take your money, but that didn't convince me. With Groupe Wolf, it was different. They were transparent from the beginning and didn't promise me anything they couldn't deliver. What also reassured me was that the agency is licensed in Quebec, so everything they do is legal. I even had to sign an official mandate to ensure everything was in order, which really put me at ease, especially since I didn't know if all this would be legal at the start. The process took a bit longer than I thought, but that's reasonable given the nature of the investigation. In the end, the report they gave me was accepted in court, which proves that they really do good work. I found their service honest and efficient, without empty promises. Negative experience: a total disappointment, a money theft, these people are not even capable of following a dog, the so-called investigator never contacted me as promised at the payment, he never allowed me to give him important information for the case, they focused on taking photos of my house instead of finding and following the target. Everyone in the house was aware of the detective's presence, very far from being professional. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

The person I talked with reassured me that they can get the informations I needed based on the fact that they have access to non public databases. He told me how much it will cost which I paid roughly 2500. They asked me to send an email stating everything I said on the phone which I did. 1st RED FLAG, they came back to me asking the address of the POI which I stated clearly is out of the country. Meaning they didn’t read the informations I shared with them. I reshared the email with the investigator. THEY TOLD ME IT WILL TAKE 2 TO 4 WEEKS. After 4 weeks I contacted them asking for the results, they told me that the legal team is reading the report and they will send it to me the next week. 5 Weeks have passed and nothing. I emailed them again asking which part of the investigation is taking time? They could not tell me, only asking me to be patient. Long story short after 2 months I sent them an email asking to reimbourse my money. They now sent me a report at 2 AM EST. I read the report, and it was EMPTY. They didn’t answer any of the questions I asked. They didn’t conduct investigation at the place I asked them to go. In fact they was no mention of it in the report. THE WORSE IS THAT THEY SAID THE DID SURVEILLANCE OF THE APARTMENT OF THE POI AFTER I TOLD THEM 4 TIMES THAT THE POI IS OUT OF THE COUNTRY. What do I need that surveillance for They do not treat the work on case-to-case basis. They just do a general work not taking into account the specifications of each client. When I wrote them saying they didn’t do the job I asked and asked for my money back they suggested reopening the case. But I said NO. Because I gave them 2 months to come back with nothing. I had to cancel trips, projects waiting for their report which I had to be emailing them every week for. Because I was insisting on getting my money they came back telling me this: We would like to inform you that we have thoroughly reviewed your case and reached specific conclusions and results. Additionally, we have undertaken more extensive work than what is stipulated in the pricing policy of the package you selected. Please be assured that we operate strictly in compliance with the laws and regulations of Canada. They are telling me they respect laws and regulations: I am not denying that. They should have been honest on what they can or cannot do. I understand that we cannot always have positive results. BUT IN MY CASE THEY DID NOT DO WHAT I ASKED THEM. THEY APPLIED GENERAL STEPS TO MY SITUATION THAT IS DIFFERENT. AND THAT IS APPALING I finally gave them the opportunity to redo the work and it’s been another 2 months without any answers. THIS IS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONNAL, INACCEPTABLE.

Negative experience: After great dissatisfaction with the final report, I gave the Wolfe Group a second chance to return a professional report to me. 4 days later, I received a second final report that still contained incorrect information. I can't give better than one star to this unprofessional firm. I do not use this report as it does not provide me with anything more than I already knew.

Negative experience: Moreover, they harassed and threatened me following my review. They asked me to remove it, otherwise, they could not testify in my favor. In any case, I cannot use what they provided me since it proves nothing. I also cannot get a refund; they have never followed up. The service is good and they are quick and courteous. However, I did not actually have any proof. Nothing is admissible in court. The photos barely show who is in them and what they are doing. We cannot prove with these photos that it is indeed a can of beer and not Pepsi. No tangible proof other than the detective's assertion that he saw the 'suspect' consuming. Money wasted! I have no proof of the mandate I asked them for.

Negative experience: Not very helpful. The only work done was the sending of an email. I uncovered more on my own. Easy money for them it seems.

Negative experience: We paid ~3,000$ which were all wasted. We are lodging a formal complaint with the Bureau as well as a claim. Regretfully, we ignored the reviews, they just took photos of the streets. They never met us, the office address is of a shared office space and we did not find anyone there. We realised it without two days after we paid in full and asked for a cancellation and a refund. In response, we were told that the refund will be for 25% only!

Negative experience: International client, I payed for a service that was not provided they said since they took more time than expected they were done. And the investigation was less than profesional. Do not recommend and when I spoke they were dismissal and layers as they said than in 2 weeks the surveillanced for more than 300 hours and in the report there servailance did not last even 20hrs.

Negative experience: I recently used their services January 2023 and it was good at first when they got their full payment and once the full payment was made no one was no longer “available” to speak to me asked several times via text and email to have a phone call appointment regarding my file and I was told I will be blacklisted for requesting a call. I have several emails that was sent to me denying a call. Horrible service.

Fantastic experience: Purchased premium package for 3200 and saved almost ten times more as the result of the legal process. Despite minor issues* the whole thing looks like a good deal to me. * I wish there were daily or even live feed updates (no such option) but got on-demand updates when asked my PI.

Now when we have the result we can share our experience. 1) When we first contacted them by email, they called back in 20 min or so and explained the process. It was our first experience with this thing and we were very worried and nervous . 2) We signed an agreement and our case manager strted the process. We did not know how it works so wolf managers developed a good plan. 3) Communication was easy and very polite. 4) gave us what we were hoping to get with professional certified report.
