Negative experience: I have had a terrible experience with this company, ALC21. 3 years ago I hired Allen(company owner of ALC21) for e-commerce marketing, to include Facebook and domain name set up.Once set up he would not allow me control of my own website.He kept control of my Facebook account as administrator and maintained my domain account under his own name. He refused to relinquish control and would not allow me access to the PIN that would let me be in charge of my own website. I persisted in my request and 5 days ago he responded by cancelling my domain account, including my e mail, without any notification or warning. As a result of this I have suffered a great loss of business and have had to close down. On realizing that my e mail was down I attempted to contact him. He only replied after many texts and calls, and his response was that I did not need the PIN # and not to contact him again. It was at this point that I found out that my domain was inactivated and the website that I had painstakingly developed was now gone. I contacted the web host, Godaddy.com to try and solve this problem and get my business going again. They asked for the PIN number to enter, which I didn't have because the account belonged to Allen. He has refused to cooporate, which I find unprofessional and totally unacceptable! The reason that I am sharing my story is that I would like to prevent this happening to any one else, so no one becomes a second or third victims like me. When you open your new account please ensure that you have your own name as account holder. That way you have control of your account, and no one else. I learned my lesson the hard way, after all the misery this incident created. I am now getting more expert at handling e-commerce marketing myself...
We remember what happened 3 years ago. We assisted you with consulting, creating websites and managing your Facebook page and the SEO marketing. It is not an option for us to share the PIN number of our company’s GoDaddy account. It contains hundreds of our clients’ information. That is because we own your domain, but we purchased it upon your request and we connected it to your website on your behalf. We made the website and video content for you for free, and we also paid for your domain the past 3 years, although it didn’t cost much.As for marketing on Facebook page, we had to create the page which is why we maintained the administrator’s role. Every time you visited Toronto, we agreed to meet with you and that is because you were one of our earliest clients. Even though our service term had ended, you have requested consulting, and recently, you have requested a heavier request for SEO marketing, so we will no longer carry on with your requests. We stayed silent because we couldn’t get you to see sense, and we have reached a limit in our patience, as you texted us for a whole hour complaining we didn’t answer your call during a meeting.For your information, the only payment we received from you is the three months’ worth of payment managing your Facebook page, which did not include advertising fees. We have done consulting, set up and administered your Facebook account, created your consulting page, and maintained your domain on your behalf for the past 3 years with only the three months’ payment. We think we have done our best for you.The server was shut down because the domain simply hasn’t been renewed. Although we tried to explain this to you, you were the one who refused to listen and hung up on our conversation. We have not renewed the domain, and it is possible for anyone to buy it now. If we had other intentions, we wouldn’t have done so.Because we have done our best for you, we do not have any regrets. We hope that you will righteously pay the full amount for your services in the future. We wish you the best of luck!
