Fantastic experience: I was recently embroiled in a lengthy legal process to have a professional squatter evicted from my basement unit. The squatting individual continually lied and obfuscated repetitively. I needed to find out the truth about this individual's background including his real name, prior residential addresses, rental history, creditworthiness and background to prepare for a long-awaited board hearing with the Landlord & Tenancy Board. It took Glib & his team at PSI four weeks to conclude a thorough and holistic report which included: *Interviews with the squatter's previous three landlords. *Credit history including outstanding debts and accounts in default, collections, and bad debt. *Conclusion and recommendations. The report played a pivotal part in the board hearing which concluded with a long-awaited eviction order being granted by the LTB. I would not hesitate to use PSI’s services anytime in the future. Negative experience: I have Made sure he knows 3 of my main objectives of research. Price was stiff but i thought you get what you pay and signed up. After little over a month he has given me some one else's private information accidentally instead what i asked (which was bit scarry-i have it on my phone as a proof). Now 4 months later very patiently waiting he presented me with 2 old information and don't match with current - what i know for fact beside i already have better information from google and FB search and cross references. they were computer monitor picture taken from the phone. Needless to say - i don't think he is capable to get real information. I don't want free information neither my money is free. But i want my money worth, i need to hire some one who can give me correct and official report and who don't take 4 months and gives out other people information. I have given him opportunity to make it right or give me correct information for several days.

My son and daughter are the two nearest and dearest people to my heart and building evidence against my ex in order to gain full custody of them was critical. Fantastic experience: I had some suspicions about my in-laws. We weren't sure if they were taking good care of our children while we were away. I asked an investigator to follow them because I didn't know what else to do. We didn't have a lot of options and we had to protect our children. It didn't take them long to gather the evidence we needed to get custody again.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Private Solutions, herein PS, for serving court documents. Initial attempts made by a local process serving company were unsuccessful. The occupants of the target premises offered inaccurate and conflicting information, at the very least, and possibly with intent to dissuade and divert. Whereby upon the third attempt to serve papers, the accused had, according to one occupant, supposedly vacated the dwelling without notice. Their mobile phone number, which served as a business contact, was no longer valid.I then called PS and spoke directly with the private investigator, herein PI, outlining the facts of my case. The PI was prompt, professional and courteous in all correspondence via phone, text and in-person. Upon meeting and listening to the information I could provide, suggested I file a police report and post reviews/complaints where possible. It took a while to sink in, realizing I had been swindled $4,600 in deposits and advances (including money for tile that was never ordered) for a bathroom renovation left abandoned in its demolished state, with tools and equipment left behind in the wake of a litany of delays and excuses. The lawyer’s letter that had been mailed/emailed requesting a refund for breach of contract remained ignored. This was not a “cheap” Reno. The total contracted price of $5,995 by the self-proclaimed “tile and bathroom expert of 15 years experience” included a 5 year warranty on workmanship. All fixtures and supplies (approximately $4,000) had been bought and paid for separately. At the police station, the officer respectfully informed me I was the third person that day with the same grievance (rogue contractor); however, no aspect of my case seemed to warrant action under the criminal code. Upon consultation, the officer referred me to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services and wrote down the telephone number. When I phoned the Ministry later that afternoon, I was told they could not help because the business was not registered. As the contractor was unlicensed in the City (of Hamilton, Ontario), neither an investigation nor enforcement followed up my query with Licensing and By-Law Services, City Hall; despite one of the ads on Kijiji claiming to be licensed and insured. The Ministry representative suggested I contact the Canadian Antifraud Centre, whereby I filed my complaint over the phone with an agent who noted details I had discovered such as the contractor changes business names, logos, email accounts, websites and phone numbers, even U-Tube channels…then disappears. As noted, within several hours of successfully posting my review on Google about the business (whose number had subsequently been changed); my review and photo of the demolished bathroom, along with three other reviews from contributors, disappeared with the entire Google business account! I had taken screenshots of my review while editing it and with failure to post notifications, sent feedback to Google Support. No one replied. With no accountability, this is a recipe for scams and their concoctors to propagate. In the interest of who gives a hoot for fellow beings, which would seem what reviews are all about, I hope to encourage others in their plight against being hoodwinked. I retained the services of PS with the objective of tracking down and serving my Plaintiff’s Claim within a determined budget. The PI astutely followed through on keen instincts, applied sleuthing and a calm boldness. As this was my first experience with Small Claims Court, the Rules and procedures being particular and precise, including how to serve documents, I am grateful for the patient and diligent collaboration of PS in exacting the requisite paperwork, which was essential in obtaining a judgment with the Superior Court of Justice. Following judgment, I followed the lawyer’s advice in filing a Writ. Within two months, the contractor’s counsel was calling to have the Writ removed pending payout. I got all my money back including almost all of the fees, in total $7,466 and some good sense!

Negative experience: Clearly explained to this 'investigator' what my objective was. We thoroughly discussed the issues to be addressed, and he agreed to follow my instructions as per the written agreement we both signed; which he agreed met his 'professional best practices' requirements. His retainer is more than most PIs charge, so decent work was expected for the money paid. Instead, the investigator failed to follow nearly all of my instructions. He wasted much of my money by conducting a Google search (which anyone can do), and allowed both his own ostensible, personal political beliefs + his connections with the police (whom I currently have a pending legal matter against), to negatively influence his perspective of me; his paying client. He who pays the piper calls the tune. This investigator turned the matter into an investigation against 'me', rather than to find out exactly what falsehoods my slanderous next door neighbours have been saying to others about me (incl. the police) for the past 10 years. He failed to follow instructions we agreed to and failed to remain unbiased. He also proved himself to be incredibly arrogant; a paying client cannot 'dare' question him regarding the dubious charges on the invoice. His final email to me grossly distorted the truth regarding transactions and what he had agreed to. The 5-star reviews (which contain no details) were probably posted by his buddies, so it's very doubtful they're authentic. This investigator demonstrated himself to be an arrogant, biased, sophomoric, mercenary neophyte who does not follow instructions agreed to, allows his own political beliefs to override what should be the professional protocol of neutrality, disrespects & grossly overcharges the client, and does very shoddy work. Do yourself a tremendous favour by AVOIDING this 'investigator'.
